This is the Place State Park

On October 20th, we met our favorite friends at This is the Place State Park.  The kids were so excited to see each other.  We used to see them almost once a week, but now between kindergarten and us living so much further away, we don't get to see them as much as we would like.  The day we went was during their Halloween celebration, so the kids got to make crafts and go trick-or-treating.  They had so much fun!

Pumpkin Patch #1

On the 15th, we went to Pack's Pumpkin Patch with most of my family.  This is the pumpkin patch we take the kids to every year, but now it is an hour away.  We happened to have a reason to come up that day so we decided to continue the tradition.  This year we invited my family to come with us.  It was a crazy warm day to be picking pumpkins.  Notice Dallin's shorts and t-shirt in the picture below.

The look on Aiden's face is really funny!

She was so excited to see them!

See! So excited.  Isn't that so cute!

He has loved tractors all his life.

Such a fun time!  It was just a bummer that my mom couldn't come.  She was running a sibling class at Primary Children's.  We're glad everyone else could come though!

Fun at the Park

A few weeks ago we went for a drive up Provo canyon.  We were trying to go to see all the leaves, but that was kind of a bust.  I think we were a week too early.  Oh well.  We ended up at this fun park in Heber.  We got out and let the kids play for awhile.  They had so much fun!

5 Months

Aiden is 5 months old today!  This past month he has learned to roll from back to front.  Now he rolls all over.  He also acts like he is going to start doing an army crawl at any time now.  He is doing better with solids.  He is jabbering a lot. He likes to make bubbles while jabbering,  He likes his jumper.  I just found out the other night that he likes Blues Clues.  Brooke was watching it and Aiden started laughing at it.  He is a mommy's boy.  My other two didn't really care if I wasn't holding them or if I left.  Aiden does.  Probably because with the other two I worked nights.  Also, the other two didn't nurse for very long.  It's fun most of the time to have him love me so much.  He absolutely loves his brother and sister.  Dallin can be a lifesaver in the car if Aiden is starting to be fussy.  He can ususally make Aiden laugh really hard.  I love my little guy!

Thanksgiving Point

The company Aaron works for gave us a couple passes to Thanksgiving Point, so we took the kids a couple weeks ago.

First we went to the dinosaur museum

This is a mini exhibit before you go into see the dinosaurs.
I think it was about all kinds of movement.

 On to the dinosaurs!

Then we went over to farm country.  After we left the dinosaur museum we put Aiden in his carseat and he fell asleep.  So, he won't be in these pictures.

Riding the ponies.  The kids loved it!

It was such a fun day!

 Dallin's school had a carnival.
He won this ball playing one of the games

Brooke got some cotton candy.  It was the one thing she wanted.

We've been busy.  Hopefully by the end of the week I can be all caught up with blogging.  No promises though because Aaron is out of town until Friday. It's crazy being a single mom.

4 month check up

waiting for the doctor

Stats
Weight: 13 lbs. 6 oz. (18%)
Height:  26 in. (84%)
Head Circumference: 42.8 cm. (63 %)

His appointment went well.  We got the ok to start solids 2 weeks from Friday.  The way they do the feeding now is different from my first two kids.  Whole wheat cereal or oatmeal instead of rice cereal.  No more waiting 3 days between new foods.  Starting meat/veggie meals right away.  This way is actually going to be a lot easier.  Aiden got 3 shots.  He cried for a minute until I put him in his carseat.  I gave him his binkie and he was just fine.  He is still too young for a flu shot, so lets hope we stay healthy.  He is healthy, tall and skinny.  I think he takes after my dad's side of the family.  Tall and skinny is a Farr gene(one that I missed out on).
