Growing up too quickly

A couple of Sundays ago, after I got Brooke ready for church, Aaron decided Brooke needed a little eyeshadow to make the outfit complete.  Yes, I typed that right.  It was Aaron that thought his little girl could wear makeup.  Silly Daddy.  She liked it though.
Not even three years old yet and wearing make up.

Here she is posing.  She is so silly.

Meet Gordon

Remember last year we bought a fish?  Dallin named it Mater.  Well it died during the summer and we decided that we wouldn't worry about getting a new one unless the kids asked.  Well, on Monday we were out running errands and the kids saw the pet store.  They asked if they could get a new fish.  So. . .everyone, meet Gordon.
I think he is named after the blue train from the Thomas series.
The smaller fish is food, in case you were wondering.

Valentine's Day

Here's what the kids got for Valentine's Day
A game to share, they each got a drink, some cookies, and in the bag is some candy.
The pink thing by the game is an origami rose that Aaron made for me.  We didn't buy each other presents this year because we will be getting new phones!  Hopefully soon!  The phone we want hasn't been released yet, so we are patiently(not so much) waiting.

Dallin's haul from his preschool party.

Brooke diving right into her candy.

Dallin checking to see what he got in his bag.

After they got their goodies, we played their new game.  It's a cute game, it doesn't take long to play, and there isn't any reading involved.

Out with the old and in with the new!

When we moved in here, we didn't think we would be staying very long so we bought this ugly refurbished washer and dryer.  Well, the dryer started burning our clothes and the washer started sounding like it was going to explode. Plus I could only wash like a fourth of a load at a time.  So, after much waiting(we're talking months of doing our laundry at my parents) for our tax return I was finally able to replace the washer and dryer.

Here is the old

 Here is the new!
They just barely came and installed them, so I have yet to wash anything.  I never thought I could be so excited over buying new appliances before!

Dates #19 and 20

Date #19 was the Saturday before Valentines.  My sister Amanda came over to watch the kids so we could go to a movie.  We saw Sanctum.  It was my first time seeing a movie in 3D.  It was pretty cool.  It was nice to have a baby sitter that wasn't either one of our parents.  And Amanda must be a pretty amazing babysitter because she had Brooke down for a nap in like 5 minutes when it usually takes me 30!  It was a nice date.

Date #20 was this last Friday.  We were able to drop the kids off at my parents and go up to the mall.  Aaron needed a new pair of jeans and I needed some cute comfy pants to wear after I have the baby.  We got some dinner at the food court and got to wander around the mall without having to chase kids or tell them to stop touching things.  We were so lucky to be able to have our dates out of the house 2 weekends in a row!

Baby Update

I went to the doctor yesterday.  Everything looks good.  We scheduled a c-section for May 27 (Aaron's mom's birthday).  That is definitely a benefit of doing c-sections!  I know exactly when this baby will be here. I guess I could go into labor before then, but I highly doubt it.  I have another appointment in 4 weeks to do the glucose test and then I start going every 2 weeks.  I can't believe it.  This pregnancy is going so fast!

Date #18

Friday was date night.  We got take out from Costa Vida (our favorite) and played Mad Gab.  It was fun, but I think the game would be a lot more fun with a group of people.
I won, but just barely.

Dallin needed a haircut, what do you think?

Before

Brooke-she wanted me to take her picture too.

After-much better!

Dallin hates getting his hair cut, so we go as long as possible between cuts.  He did really well this time and now he looks so handsome!

Date #17

Continuing on with Project 52 Date Nights.  We missed like 3 weeks for various reasons, so on Friday we started up again.  For date night we celebrated our 7th anniversary.  The kids stayed the night at Aaron's parents.  We went to dinner at the Spaghetti Factory and stayed the night at a LaQuinta.  It was a really nice night.  Dinner was way yummy and it was nice to go back to our room, relax and sleep in.  When we woke up we had the free breakfast, got ready and went to Barnes and Noble to wander around before we picked up the kids.  It was a really nice, low-key way to celebrate our anniversary.
