We went camping for the first time as a family over labor day weekend.
Mostly it was fun.
Getting the fire going so we could cook dinner
Tin Foil dinners
They were so yummy!
Then we walked around and explored the campground.
When we got back to our campsite we made smores
The next day we went a little "hike".
These dogs belonged to the camp host. They were the nicest dogs and the kids loved them.
Brooke found this snake. Luckily it was already dead. Gross.
We drove into Heber/Midway and found a park. The kids played and we had a picnic.
Then we drove into Park City and went to the outlets.
When we got back from Park City we walked to this creek.
The kids had fun throwing rocks into the water. The dog would run into the water and retrieve the rock.
The last morning was really cold. Here is Brooke all wrapped up sitting in front of the fire.
Some tips for next time.
Get a separate tent for the kids. Brooke pretty much slept on top of me.
Go earlier in the summer, or bring more blankets.
Overall, we had a really good time. The kids absolutely loved it.
